Who we are
Northwest Farm Credit Services is a financial cooperative providing financing and related services to farmers, ranchers, agribusinesses, commercial fishermen, timber producers, rural homeowners and crop insurance customers in Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Alaska.
Northwest FCS is a member of the Farm Credit System that supports agriculture and rural communities with reliable, consistent credit and financial services. Northwest FCS also provides equipment financing, appraisal services and crop and livestock insurance programs.
What we do
For more than 100 years, Farm Credit has provided financing to farmers and ranchers across the Northwest. We serve a wide spectrum of agriculture, including part-time farmers, young and beginning producers, commercial operations, and large, vertically integrated businesses.
Helping new ag producers grow
Helping young, beginning and small-farm producers start their own business is an integral part of the cooperative mission at Northwest FCS. AgVision is our nationally recognized program available to support producers with at least one of the following characteristics:
· 35 years of age or younger
· 10 years or less of agriculture experience
· Producers with annual gross farm production of less than $350,000
This program features less restrictive underwriting standards, competitive interest rates, reduced or waived fees, knowledgeable staff and educational benefits.
Today’s producers and agribusinesses are busier than ever, and technology is making it easier to learn and grow.
Northwest FCS’ Business Management Center (BMC) makes it easy to access industry-leading management education, business tools and family business resources.
Our BMC provides information and resources to help you – whether you’re a young or beginning producer or an established operator.
Our industry-leading conferences and reports equip you with insights on changes in technology, demographics, geopolitics, consumer trends and economics.
Our focus on professional development provides resources in family business communications, strategic and succession planning, financial analysis and management, managing risk, managing people and leadership.
Protecting your livelihood
To protect from unforeseen weather or a drop in market prices, Northwest Farm Credit Services Insurance Agency provides numerous crop and livestock insurance programs to help producers manage their risk.
Unlike other insurance providers, our licensed agents focus solely on crop and livestock insurance. They have in-depth knowledge and experience working with the diverse crops grown in the Northwest.
